Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

When you order: your email address, your shipping address and name, and what you ordered. Your card details go to Stripe and never reach us.

When you contact us: whatever you put in the contact form.

When you browse: anonymous usage data through Google Analytics — pages viewed, roughly where in the world you are, what kind of device you used.

There are no customer accounts. There is nothing to log into, and no password of yours for us to hold.

2. Why we process it

To take payment, to print your order, to ship it to you, to answer you when you write to us, and to understand which parts of the shop people actually use.

3. Who else processes it

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone not listed here.

4. Analytics, and what we deliberately do not send

Google Analytics receives page views and a purchase event. The purchase event carries the order id, the value, and the items — deliberately not your email, your name, or your address. Sending those to Google would breach their terms and hand your identity to a third party for no benefit to you.

5. Cookies

Google Analytics sets cookies to tell repeat visits from new ones. Your cart is kept in your own browser's local storage, not on our servers, and is not sent anywhere until you check out. Signing in to the admin area sets a session cookie, which is for us, not for customers.

6. Retention

Order records are kept as long as we need them for tax and accounting purposes. Print files generated for an order are working artifacts and are deleted once they are no longer needed. Contact messages are kept until the conversation is finished.

7. Security

Everything is served over HTTPS. Card details never touch our systems. Generated print files sit in private storage and are reachable only by an authenticated administrator.

8. Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted — subject to records we are required to keep. Write to us at buttontobutton.com/contact.

9. Children

The shop is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

We will update this page when what we do changes, and change the date at the top.
